Flight Sim

BB6 flight sim room...

Dr. Liew : "Good gracious! There are six SAMs behind us! Begin evasive manoeuvre!"

Charger : "Aye aye, doc! Flares away!"

Sukhoi Su-30 : *pak* *pak* *pak* *pak* *pak* *five flares dropped out from the rear*

SAMs : *kaboom* *kaboom* *kaboom* *kaboom* *kaboom*

Dr. Liew : "You dropped only five! Now left one SAM still on our tail!"

Charger : "We ran out of flares, doc"

Dr. Liew : "Aww, marn. Engage afterburner. We're at 40,000 feet. I'm going to use a bit of earth's gravity to help us out run this thing."

The Sukhoi Su-30 flipped upside down and began to dive through earth's atmosphere...

Charger : "No use, doc. We're at Mach 5. That thing is still closing in!"

Dr. Liew : "Apparently that SAM is also having the advantage of extra gravitational pull. We can't shake it lose. You have any good ideas?"

Charger : "Nope. It's still closing in, 300 meters, 275, 250, 225..."

Dr. Liew : "Urgh... eject Eject EJECT!"

Charger : "Where's the eject button?"

Dr. Liew : "You don't know where the eject button is? For goodness sake!"

Charger : "I'm searching! I'm searching!"

Dr. Liew : "EJECT! EJECT! EJECT!"

Charger : "Okay, found it. Ejecting... The CDROM is out from the CDROM drive. Now what?"

Dr. Liew : *foaming from mouth*

Sukhoi Su-30 : *kablam* "GAME OVER!"

Disable Shortcuts

Disabling shortcuts in Golden Sun 1 and 2.

This make perfect sense:

> Is there any way to disable the L & R psynergy shortcut after setting
> them? Because accidentally pressing them drains my psynergy level.

I don't think there is an "orthodox" way, but you can try this. I'll use Ivan as an example, but this can be applied for anyone. Give Ivan a djinn that is not his alignment (Jupiter), for example give him a Venus djinn. This will give him the "Growth" psynergy. Set this as both the left and right shortcuts. Then just trade the Venus djinn back to someone else, and that should clear the shortcuts because Ivan will lose the growth psynergy after the trade.

Hope that helps (and makes sense).

RPCNs : "Awww... Look! It's F4! Doc, I wanna buy this poster! Zai Zai is

Blog Taikohs

I was supposed to finish X-Men 2 when a friend sent me a blog site URL: The Muse Is In. Which then leads to Alphaque.

Both are good reads. So X-Men 2 has to wait. BTW I'm at that scene when Storm went to catch that devil thing that can disappear, into another dimension or whatever.
Panasonic LV-65

It's a great portable player.

1. Plays Audio CD (no shock buffer, so can't bring it to jog but inside the car, it's okay).
2. Plays MP3-CD, VCD, SuperVCD (burned with NERO), DVD, DVD-R, DVD-RAM, CD-R, CD-RW.
3. Plays wav, mp3, jpg, mpeg4 formats from SD/MMC cards.
4. Can't play JPG burnt onto CD-R, but can view from SD/MMC wtf!
5. Adjustable screen, able to flip through 180 degrees. Can choose your viewing angle.
6. Wide screen - woohoo...
7. Can choose Dialogue Enhance mode. The speeches will be clearer.
8. Can show bitrate on screen.
9. Can choose cinema or movie mode - something changed on screen, maybe brightness or something, I don't know.
10. Videos of 4:3 can be zoomed to 16:9 but a bit pixelated.
11. Built in Dolby and dts decoder with advance surround. Will immitate surround sound when you use headphone or only two speakers.
12. Upon switching it off, the player remembers where you've stop. Switch it on again and it will continue.
13. Sound quality is decent from the built-in mono speaker. I didn't miss any dialogue.
14. Li-Ion battery. 2.5 to 4 hours.
15. Can connect video/audio to it, like PS-2. Bwahahaha...
16. Can output video/audio to TV - maybe I can record DVD to my miniDV. ^_^
17. Has optical audio out.
18. No LCD display of battery level, only blinking LEDs, or when you press the display button on the player or on the remote controller.
19. Multi angle, multi language, subtitle capable with on-screen graphical user interface, not like those lame text interface like most DVD players.
20. Volume cannot be controlled by remote controller. Still using a simple knob on the player. Urgh...

Summary - tons of functions for this small portable player.

Never been to cinema for years. I feel that small screen (not too tiny) is better. You won't miss anything on the screen. In big screen cinema, even if you sit the furthest, you still need to dart your eyes around during action scenes to see where the bullets are coming from.

Watched these on it :
Equilibrium, DVD9, wide screen edition - kick arse!
Serendipity, DVD9, wide screen edition - :P~~~
Lilo and Stitch, DVD9, wide screen edition - Bwahahaha!
